Where can I find Lenkai Farms?
Find us at West End Farmers Market in Richmond, Virginia, every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., year-round. Product selection may vary by week.
How do whole-goat orders work?
Market goats are priced at $8 per pound live weight. A $100 deposit reserves the order and is credited toward the final balance. Standard cutting into six large pieces is included. Smaller cooking pieces require additional processor labor; Lenkai Farms confirms that fee before processing and adds it to the final balance. Regular processing is standard, while halal processing is available by advance confirmation with a $75 surcharge. Fulfillment may be arranged through farm pickup, a confirmed West End Farmers Market pickup in Richmond or limited-area delivery.
Can my whole goat be cut into smaller pieces?
Yes. The included standard cut divides the carcass into six large pieces. You may request smaller cooking pieces for an additional processing fee. Choose small pieces for stews and curries, medium pieces for roasting, grilling or Nyama Choma, or let the processor use its standard smaller cut. Lenkai Farms confirms the added fee before processing.
Do you sell breeding goats?
No. The current website offer is for market goats ordered by live weight, not breeding stock.
Which goat-meat cuts will be offered?
The focused range is goat chops, bone-in goat stew meat and ground goat. The goats are pasture raised, and packaged cuts are processed under USDA inspection. Halal processing is available by request and should be confirmed in advance.
Are Lenkai Farms goats pasture raised?
Yes. Pasture—or hay in winter—is the primary feed. Concentrate is used only as a controlled supplement through the outside-mounted head-through divider trough in the morning.
Is Lenkai Coffee available now?
Yes. Lenkai Coffee is a single-origin medium roast from the Highlands of Mt Kenya, roasted in Kenya and available as whole bean or ground in a 12-ounce bag for $19.99, subject to current inventory.
Is Lenkai Honey available?
Not yet. Honey is presented as Coming Soon until actual Lenkai Farms production and a finished product are confirmed.
Is The Lantern Barn open to the public?
Not yet. The Lantern Barn is an experience in development. Future gatherings or reservations will be announced only after plans and dates are confirmed.
Do you ship every product?
No. Shipping and pickup eligibility depend on the product and applicable fulfillment requirements. The website will show the available method before an order is accepted.
